Leading Scientists to Discuss the Dingo Dilemma at National Zoo and Aquarium, Canberra

A unique conservation event bringing together leading experts on Australia's iconic dingo will be held at the National Zoo and Aquarium in Canberra.

Dr Kylie Cairns, a leading dingo geneticist associated with UNSW, whose research focuses on dingo genetics and conservation;

Dr Mike Letnic, a researcher whose work focuses on the ecology of dingoes in Australia and dingo conflicts with people, and

James Vandersteen, a PhD researcher studying predator ecology and dingo–prey relationships.

The speakers will explore the vital ecological role dingoes play as apex predators, helping to maintain healthy landscapes and biodiversity, while also addressing the ongoing challenges of balancing wildlife conservation with livestock protection.
